Combined with the collaborative efforts of our team, Skye Waterman, Karen Piquet, Chupeng Yang and Jordan Thomas, we will be analyzing poetry from the highly esteemed poets with different nationalities. Skye will be analyzing the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Karen Piquet will conduct research on Mario Benedetti, a famous Uruguayan journalist, novelist, and poet. Originating from China. Chupeng Yang will be researching the works of the Chinese poet, Du Fu. Jordan Thomas will be analyzing poetry from a Haitian poet, called Emmanuel Ejen. His works are in the Creole language, so it would be very interesting to see how the translations vary from Creole and English.  Working as a team, we have already began researching the broad spectrum of nationalities these poets have. Poe is an American poet, Beneditti is a Spanish writer, Du Fu is Chinese and Emmanuel Ejen is a Haitian poet.
